It was one of the first big convention dungeons run by Gary Gygax himself and shown up in all kinds of cultural references like the book\/movie Ready Player One. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tomb of Horrors was posited as an epic &#8220;thinking man&#8217;s&#8221; dungeon of traps and death to challenge even the highest level characters. In reality, it&#8217;s hardly a &#8220;thinking man&#8217;s&#8221; dungeon. It&#8217;s more like a 90&#8217;s era King&#8217;s Quest game that is all about arbitrarily killing you at every turn. Curiosity or touching almost anything will kill you without warning. It&#8217;s clear this was a dungeon designed to kill high level characters that irked Gygax off with their bragging about being able to defeat anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@Runesmith\">Runesmith<\/a> decides to give this dungeon the same treatment other games from the era got: a speedrun.
