I have always loved miniatures. I even considered being an architect when younger because I was enamored by the tiny models. So, imagine my joy in seeing a museum open for them.
\nARCHI-DEPOT<\/a> is a facility in Tokyo with a total of 116 shelves. It is specially designed to exhibit and preserve architectural models. Opened in the\u00a0Shinagawa district<\/a>, this warehouse museum is dedicated to the storage and display of Japanese architectural models. Created by the company Warehouse TERRADA<\/a>, the cavernous space houses rows and rows of dramatically-lit miniature designs, many of which serve as the tiny precursors to some of the city\u2019s top attractions such as the\u00a0Tokyo Skytree<\/a>, Tokyo International Airport<\/a>, and the Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n
