As someone that is a developer of technology, I agree that simplicity wins over complex every day. I mean it&#8217;s not like your smart devices are <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/90731298\/smart-devices-spying-internet-of-things\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/90731298\/smart-devices-spying-internet-of-things\" target=\"_blank\">spying on you<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5568815\/amazon-workers-listen-to-alexa\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5568815\/amazon-workers-listen-to-alexa\/\" target=\"_blank\">or that employees listen to everything that your smart device hears in your home<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.komando.com\/security-privacy\/smart-home-gadgets-hackers\/840459\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.komando.com\/security-privacy\/smart-home-gadgets-hackers\/840459\/\" target=\"_blank\">hackers can control your devices\/door locks\/etc<\/a>, or Alexa&#8217;s recordings could be <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2019-11-02-florida-police-obtain-alexa-recordings-in-murder-case.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2019-11-02-florida-police-obtain-alexa-recordings-in-murder-case.html\" target=\"_blank\">subpoenaed for criminal investigations<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/07\/13\/amazon-gave-ring-videos-to-police-without-owners-permission-00045513\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/07\/13\/amazon-gave-ring-videos-to-police-without-owners-permission-00045513\" target=\"_blank\">indoor cameras given police access<\/a>&#8230; That would just be silly &#8211; right.
