Doing it well, however, is difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">nVidia did an amazing job AI generating 3D meshes from text prompts using <a href=\"https:\/\/nv-tlabs.github.io\/GET3D\/\">GET3D<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/mattfife.com\/?p=8168\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/mattfife.com\/?p=8168\">also here<\/a>). While it looks a little better and more advanced than the <a href=\"https:\/\/mattfife.com\/?p=8275\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/mattfife.com\/?p=8275\">Stable DreamFusion<\/a> code I played with earlier, it still suffers with some of the similar problems. The meshes they generate can be pretty rough, bumpy, missing features, poor textures, and other issues generating 3D geometry from AI generated data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marching cubes and <a href=\"https:\/\/nv-tlabs.github.io\/DMTet\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/nv-tlabs.github.io\/DMTet\/\">DMTet<\/a> have existed for some time &#8211; but nVidia has introduced an even more interest technique called FlexiCubes.
