Lot #375 – This Ford Station Wagon re-creation is based on the car in the movie “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo. It’s powered by a 5.0-liter 8-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission.

Green screening and digitally enhancing scenes with motion tracking and 2D/3D software tools is in just about every mainstream TV show and movie these days. But jumping the uncanny valley has still been elusive (at least to my eyes).
Nikita Daikur’s odd and low-fi way of using these tools is a wild ride. Give them a watch.

Last year for the month of March, motion design studio Mr. Kaplin released a series of alphabet animations loosely inspired by an object or concept beginning with the featured letter. The project, A Month of Type, was published to the studio’s Instagram, and was also compiled into an alphabetical list of the animations with a soundtrack by BXFTYS.
If you like these inventive type interpretations check out 36 Days of Type, a project that asks designers from across the globe to animate their own letters and numbers throughout April and May.
The daredevil stunt plane Scandinavian Catwalk performed this epic light show at Australia’s 2019 Avalon Airshow. The plane shoots a stream of fireworks and laser beams, perfectly timed to the music, all while performing flips and rolls in the sky.
