Bacteriophage linked with colon cancer?

People with colorectal cancer were twice as likely to have detectable levels of the bacteriophage Bacteroides fragilis in their gut bacteria. The researchers can’t prove direct cause and effect yet, but it is an interesting finding since almost 80 percent of colorectal cancer risk has been assigned to environmental factors, including gut bacteria composition.
